Ben Holden
Ben Holden is the author of best selling book and popular social media channel ‘Wanna Teach PE’.
Having refined his craft as a PE teacher during the early stages of his career, Ben was promoted to Head of Physical Education at High Tunstall College of Science in 2010.
Since 2010, Ben has been an advocate for delivering an engaging and innovative PE curriculum for pupils. Ben’s ‘Why’ is to inspire young people to develop a life long love for physical activity and exercise.
In addition, Ben has also mentored a range of trainee PE teachers. Through mentoring, Ben models positive teaching behavior's and encourages ongoing reflective practice in mentees.
A passionate footballer and cricketer and lover of all sports, Ben aims to share this love with young people for years to come.
Most recently Ben was elected as Chair of the Physical Education Committee of the International School Sport Federation.
